Sephora Sale Picks!

Sephora’s big sale event opens up in the morning (5/2) for their VIB beauty members to get 15% off their purchase (CODE: HEYVIB) and Insider members to get 10% off (CODE: HEYINSIDER). Also, Ebates is giving back 3% so that’s a pretty considerable savings if you’re needing a few beauty and makeup items.

I like to use this sale to purchase the favorites that I use over and over again as well as a spendy item if there’s something I’ve been wanting to snag. So these are my picks for the Sephora Sale this year. I’ve linked all of the items, if you’re shopping today.

Big Spend Item

I’ve talked before about how much I love the NuFace Facial Toning Device, so if you don’t have that, I do highly recommend adding it to your arsenal for turning back the hands of time. This is the one I’ve been using for about a year and a half and they now also have this mini version here. (The mini does not accept any attachments, but I think that’s the only difference). This year, I’m thinking very hard about adding this little attachment to my cart. I’ve had my eye on this for quite a while now and I doubt I’ll get it cheaper(Maybe the Nordstrom sale??? or Ebay?) I’d like to be able to target the areas on my face more precisely because the NuFace device works so well. I’m pretty excited to get this and try it out. We’ll see if I pull the trigger.

UPDATE: I actually did find it cheaper on Ebay! <high hives!>

Tried and True Holy Grail Items

It Cosmetics CC Cream

This is my “go to” for foundation. It has beautiful coverage, it has sunscreen and it stays put all day without feeling heavy. I love the way that this foundation makes my skin look. It comes in Regular, Oil Free and Illuminating and has a decent shade range now. I am currently loving the Illuminating formulation. I apply it with my favorite bargain Beauty Blender Dupes.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance- I’ve talked about this stuff again and again! This will keep your shadow from having the dreaded crease! It’s regularly $20 and a tube lasts forever!

New To ME

Fenty Beauty Bronzer- I love the Too Faced Bronzer and I have used it all the way down to the bare pan! But Fenty is one of the most talked about brands out there right now, and everyone is raving about the bronzer, so I thought I’d give this one a try.

Too Faced Eye Makeup Palette in “Natural Lust”. I just need a new eye palette. The ones I have are well used and I’m in the mood to try something else. I typically love the Two Faced colors, the creaminess and the staying power of the shadows, so I’m excited about this guy with 30 beautiful shades!

I already purchased this, but because they are so dang good and in the sale, I thought I’d mention them:

Gold Under Eye Masks from Wander Beauty. Y’all these do an amazing job of depuffing and hydrating the undereye area, which diminishes the look of any fine lines. Eyes instantly look “fresher”. I’m not sure of any long term benefits with these, but for an instant pick-me-up? Love them. If you use them, don’t waste the serum left in the package- rub it on your forehead or neck- it’s so hydrating.

I’m pretty excited about the NuFace attachment and I’m really hoping that I love the bronzer and the eye palette. Are you getting anything new in the sale? Don’t forget to sign up and use Ebates before you shop!

FYI- It Cosmetics, Too Faced, and Wander Beauty are cruelty-free and do not test on animals according to Cruelty Free Kitty. Fenty beauty claims not to test on animals as well, but they haven’t backed up the claims in order to be added to the above lists. Unfortunately, many smaller cosmetic companies are purchased by larger companies who do still test on animals.
