Hope you are all having a great start to your New year! We just got our tree down and I love the feeling of a fresh start, don’t you? How do you like the new look of the blog? I’m still working out a few kinks but I like clean, modern look!
I’m ordered some fresh new pillow covers for the living room that I found for a steal here and sprucing up a bit with shades of white and some new textures. I’m looking for candle recommendations so please let me know your favorite candle scents in the comments!
I loved the way our Christmas decor turned out this year!
One of my favorite things about the New Year is grabbing a new planner! I adore this pink marble one. I’m a list making kinda girl and the blank pages of a new planner just make my heart sing! There are lots of great planners out there so you can find one that inspires you and then get your act together!
For health and wellness plans one of the big things that I started again is meal prep. It seems like a small thing, but when you are trying to eat a healthy diet, it can be the difference between success and failure! On Sundays I take about an hour and fix up all the proteins, veggies and simple carbs and portion it out for my lunches for the week. Lunch is always the one that gets me, so this is a huge help all week long. The green juice is firmly in my daily routine now and I feel great about getting that consistently into my routine in 2020.
My workouts are pretty much the same: Cardio 3 x a week and weight training 4-5x a week. We added a spin bike back into our home gym and Ive been loving that. My knees feel great when I’m cycling consistently. That cyclical motion brings blood flow to the knees and thats so healing. Since consistency is key, I’ve added my actual workout list to a section in my planner for more accountability and to help me stay on track.
Oh- I finally found some new supplements that I’m over the moon about! I’ll do an entire post on those next but I’m SO happy to finally have found vitamins and supplements that really do the job for me- cause besides my overall health……..I need some energy these days!
For skin care this year, I’m doubling down and adding the Nira skincare laser to my night time routine. It’s one powerful little gadget! I like that it only takes about 2 minutes to use so it’s kind of a no- brainer for me when it comes to eliminating fine lines. You can check it out here if you’re interested> NIRA use code LASHES. I’m also thinking that this may be the year to go for Botox- those forehead lines are starting to be distracting!
Are you making any changes this year? I’d love to hear about them in the comments! I’m trying to make my comments section easier to use this year on this updated blog look, so let me know if there are still to many annoying steps!
Thank you for reading and lets make it a great year!
